With 11 years of counseling experience, I am a dedicated and compassionate therapist specializing in helping adults and couples. I enjoy working with clients experiencing struggles due to ADHD, relational conflict, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, life transitions, career transitions, and stress management. I provide telehealth sessions (OK and KS) and in office sessions in McPherson, KS. In 2014, I completed my Master's of Science Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis in Community Counseling at John Brown University. I am also very comfortable integrating Christian faith in the work I do, for those who would like to lean on their spiritual beliefs for strength.
My therapeutic approach is tailored to meet your unique needs, but for all those I work with, I believe in fostering a supportive and understanding environment where couples and individuals can safely be vulnerable as they explore their thoughts and feelings and achieve personal growth. My work is grounded in evidence-based practices, ensuring clients receive the most effective and up-to-date care. For those wanting to address relational difficulties I have training in Gottman method, an evidence-based approach that helps couples improve their communication with one another. This model works best with couples where each partner is open to working on their communication and growing closer together. For individual clients, I mostly take a Cognitive Behavioral therapy approach, and I have recently completed training in Exposure and Response Prevention to better support individuals who have anxiety disorders and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I also integrate techniques from various other CBT based therapy models such as mindfulness, DBT and ACT. I will work with you to develop goals and practical steps to work towards them.
I have current openings for daytime sessions. To set up a consultation, please schedule through my portal, or reach out via email. Whether you are navigating the challenges of life, seeking to strengthen your relationships, or managing life's transitions, I would be honored to walk alongside you in this part of your journey.
